We had informed our readers a few months ago that the sequel to Ayushmann Khurrana’s 2017 sleeper hit Shubh Mangal Saavdhan will have Ayushmann play a gay character and the makers of Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan confirmed the report as they introduced their lead characters to the audiences with a quirky video, today.

Ayushmann will be seen romancing Jitendra Kumar in the film. The video features the animated versions of all the lead actors, playing a game with a ‘kali gobhi’. Jitendra is playing Aman Tripathi and Ayushmann is playing Kartik Singh.  Gajraj Rao is playing Jitendra’s father Shankar Tripathi and Neena Gupta is essaying the role of his mother Sunaina Tripathi. Pankhuri Awasthy is playing Kusum, Jitendra’s fianceé.

As the Tripathis compete for the Kali Gobhi Cup, Aman drops a catch as Kartik catches his attention. Aman Tripathi wants to play ‘a new game’ with Kartik however 'unki family ko yeh game bilkul manzoor nahi'. The teaser is hilarious and we are sure this will be one entertaining affair.

Written and directed by Hitesh Kewalya, the film also stars Manurishi Chaddha, Sunita Rajwar and Maanvi Gagroo.
