In a clear and composed statement, the actor clarified that while the accident was indeed severe, it never brought his career to a halt.

Vivek revealed that he had suffered multiple fractures and underwent surgery, during which an 18-inch titanium rod was inserted in his leg. The recovery phase, he admitted, was both physically and mentally challenging. However, he strongly credited his swift comeback to the expertise and dedication of Dr Ali Irani, former physiotherapist of the Indian Cricket Team and Head of Physiotherapy at Nanavati Hospital, along with his medical team.

According to Vivek, with their guidance and structured rehabilitation, he was able to regain full mobility in nearly three months. This recovery allowed him not only to walk again but also to dance and perform demanding action sequences soon after the injury. He expressed deep gratitude to the medical team, calling their work exceptional and life-changing.

Reflecting on the incident, Vivek described the accident as a brief interruption rather than a turning point. He emphasised that it did not force him out of the industry, nor did it limit his creative ambitions. In fact, he went on to deliver some of his most physically intense performances after the injury.

The actor highlighted films such as Omkara (2006), Shootout at Lokhandwala (2007), Mission Istanbul (2008), Prince (2010), and Krrish 3 (2013) as proof of his full recovery and continued commitment to challenging roles. These performances, he said, were possible only because of the medical care and support he received.

Vivek concluded by stating that his journey in cinema remains fulfilling and ongoing. He stressed that the accident did not define him but instead reinforced his resilience, gratitude, and passion for the craft he continues to love without compromise.
