Vidya Balan-Farhan Akhtar Confirmed For 'Shaadi Ke Side Effects'

The sequel to the 2006 hit Pyaar Ke Side Effects is finally happening! However, it won't include the same principal cast for the sequel. The 2006 film starred Mallika Sherawat and Rahul Bose, whereas the sequel Shaadi Ke Side Effects will star Vidya Balan and Farhan Akhtar.

Producer Pritish Nandy was quoted saying, "SKSE begins where PKSE ends. Except the lead pair, everyone including director Saket Choudharyand music director Pritam remain. SKSE is a funny, clever, wild film full of the fascinating ways love works before and after marriage. PKSE had four songs that became very popular, and the story had very strong connectivity with the audience, so we decided to make a sequel."

"We make cinema that is big and also intelligent. Farhan is one of the most intelligent actors today. He and Vidya are two of the biggest stars of 2011. It will instantly make my film topical. Both of them loved the script immediately," he further added.
