YRF's Spy Universe is looking to expand its horizons with new characters and new actors. After Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, the next new entrants will be Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh with the upcoming film, Alpha. Now, sources at Mid-Day suggest that Vicky Kaushal is also set to be a part of this action-packed spy universe.

"Conversations have been happening for a while, and Vicky is keen to be part of this ambitious franchise. It’s still in the early stages, but the idea is to introduce a fresh narrative thread within the existing world," a source told the portal. "The makers believe he has the charisma and acting chops to lead a standalone story,” an insider revealed.

YRF's spy universe has made five films to date, and four of them have been blockbusters while one was a hit. The sixth film, War 2, sees Hrithik Roshan pitted against Jr. NTR and is slated for a 14th August release this year. It will be followed by Alpha, the first female-driven spy thriller in the Spy Universe, and then YRF has plans for Pathaan 2 and this Vicky Kaushal flick.
