Vicky Kaushal will be seen portraying India’s first Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw on silver screens for his biopic, which will be directed by Meghna Gulzar. The actor recently revealed that he will begin the shoots for the film only in 2021.
Recently the actor during an interview shared, that it is of great honour for him to play Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, who was the Chief of the Army Staff in the Indian Army during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. He added that he has plans to get into the skin of the character as minutely as he possibly can. Vicky also shared that though he could not witness the achievements of the national hero, but his parents would tell him stories about how courageous and brave a leader he was.
Recently the producer of the film, Ronnie Screwvala unveiled Vicky’s first look from the film on the officer’s death anniversary.
Meanwhile Vicky Kaushal is currently focusing on another patriotic biopic based on the life of Sardar Udham Singh, which will be directed by Soojit Sircar and produced by Karan Johar.
