Veteran Telugu Actor & Producer Chalapati Rao Passes Away at 88 —

Popular Telugu actor and producer Chalapati Rao took a permanent leave from all of us. The actor was 88 years old and had been battling health issues for quite some time. He suffered from a terrible heart attack, which he couldn't survive. His last rites will be performed on Wednesday, December 28.

Chalapati's family members told the media, "Chalapati Rao's last rites will take place after his daughter returns from America. His body will be kept at Ravi Babu's house in Banjara Hills for fans to visit till Sunday afternoon so that they can pay their last respects. His last rites will be performed after 3 p.m. on Wednesday (Dec. 28)."

Chalapathi Rao was born on May 8, 1944, in Andhra Pradesh. His son, Ravi Babu, is an actor, director, and producer in Tollywood. Chalapati was known for comedy and villainous roles in many films. He played different roles in more than 600 films in his illustrious career. May God rest his soul in peace.
