Veteran Bollywood & Marathi Actress Sulochana Latkar Passes Away at 94 —

Veteran Bollywood and Marathi actress Sulochana Latkar passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023. The actress was 94 and took her last breath at Sushrusha Hospital in Dadar, Mumbai. We at Movie Talkies pray for her soul.

Sulochana Latkar had been suffering through illness for a while. She was admitted to Sushrusha Hospital in Shivaji Park today when her condition deteriorated. She took her last breath on the hospital bed. Her funeral will take place tomorrow at Shivaji Park Crematorium in Dadar.

Sulochana Latkar was born 30 July 1928 and was staying in Prabhadevi, Mumbai. She is largely known by her screen name, Sulochana, and has acted in 50 films in Marathi and around 250 films in Hindi. Sulochana Latkar has been honoured with the Padma Shri, the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award, and Maharashtra Bhushan Award by the Government of Maharashtra.
