A day ago, there were reports that Salman Khan got Arijit Singh’s song dropped from upcoming film Welcome To New York and replaced it with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s voice because of an old feud with Singh.
However, producer Vashu Bhagnani has rubbished rumours of Arijit's version being dropped from Welcome To New York and has instead claimed that Arijit had never sung for any song in the film. Bhagnani went on to add that he and composer Shamir Tandon wanted a certain texture of voice for the song and signed up Rahat Fateh Ali Khan to croon it as they felt that he was perfect for the number.
Welcome To New York stars Sonakshi Sinha, Diljit Dosanjh, Karan Johar and others. Salman will be seen in a cameo in a song from the film.
