Varun Dhawan To Play The Male Lead In 'Milan Talkies'?

After actors Shahid Kapoor and Imran Khan backed out of Balaji flick Milan Talkies, there is a strong buzz that newbie Varun Dhawan, who made his Bollywood debut with Karan Johar's campus romance Student Of The Year, might be signed up for the role.

It seems that Balaji Queen Bee Ekta Kapoor is quite impressed with Varun after his performance in 'SOTY' and has decided to approach the star, who will also star in another of Ekta's film Main Tera Hero, which is being helmed by Varun's father David Dhawan.

It seems that earlier too, Varun had been approached for the Milan Talkies role, but he did not have dates back then. However, now that the film has been delayed, Ekta hopes that Varun might be able to be a part of the project, which will be directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia.
