After giving a Blockbuster hit like Badlapur, an action thriller film which was on a huge roll in the Box Office, actor Varun Dhawan and director Sriram Raghavan reunite together with a biopic on Late Param Vir Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal. The actor was seen with the film's director, producer as well as Arun Khetarpal's family, as the film's team have started working on the project.

Varun also took to his Instagram handle and posted a picture of the same. Check the picture below :

The actor has officially announced his biopic on the war hero soldier who was a Pune homegrown officer in the Indian Army. He was also a posthumous recipient of Param Vir Chakra, which is India's highest military decoration for the remarkable display of valour in saving the country from invaders.

Knowing about Arun Khetarpal's contribution to the Indian Army, the film's story would be set in the 1970 Era of Indo - Pakistan War. While fighting the Battle Of Basantar in the Battlefield Of Shankargarh during this era, Arjun's bravery was applauded by everyone and his deep patriotism towards his country won him the honour of Param Vir Chakra.

The film's producer Dinesh Vijan said that Arun Khetarpal's story was narrated to him by his brother Mukesh and the producer was astounded by it. But Dinesh is more interested in the healthy relationship between Arun and his father, which the producer wants to bring on the screens.

Initially Director Sriram Raghavan found it very difficult to picturize the story, but finally the Director brought the film on board. Sriram shares in an Interview “When Dinoo approached me to make a film on the subject, I found it daunting initially. But movies set in wartime have always moved me and this made me reconsider my decision. This is a solid story told over two generations of soldiers and we hope we can do justice to it.”

Talking about the same Varun Dhawan shares, “When I met Arun’s brother Mukesh, I was moved. I too have a brother and I can’t understand what he must have gone through. And it’s our responsibility to tell it correctly. This is the most important film of my career and I’m excited to start work with Sriram again. I hope all Indians will feel as proud when they see our story unfold on screen.”

The film which is still untitled will be directed by Sriram Raghavan, produced by Maddock Films and hasn't locked its release date yet.
