Varun Dhawan Says His 'Badlapur' Bearded Look Is Not Inspired By 'Haider'

Ever since Varun Dhawan's bearded look from Badlapur has been unveiled, people have been comparing the look to Shahid Kapoor's look in Vishal Bhardwaj's Haider.

Recently, while at the Badlapur teaser launch event, when asked to comment on the theory that his bearded look has been inspired by Shahid's look in Haider, Varun said that the look is not based on Shahid's look at all and added that the only reference they had for the look was his elder brother Rohit's bearded look. Varun also added that he will be seen playing a Maharashtrian ad exec in the film.

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Badlapur also stars Huma Qureshi, Yaami Gautam, Divya Dutta and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
