90’s hit film, Coolie No 1 will come back with its sequel which will star the fresh pairing of Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan on screen. The film is surely creating a lot of excitement among the audience before its release for all the right reasons and latest we hear that the makers will go by the flavor of the season to remake old hit song numbers. Following which the hit dancing no ‘Main Toh Raste Se Jaa Raha Tha’ from the original will be revived for the sequel.
The new version will be recomposed by Tanishk Bagchi, who is one of the most popular remake composers in Hindi cinema currently and director David Dhawan who will be directing the sequel as well has promised that the composer will not going to mess with the original. Talking about the same, the director said that this song has played a crucial role in the success of the original film and it is also going to be an important song for the sequel, he further added that the new song will be a fun number that will show the growing bond between the couple which has been picturized very differently as per recent times with Varun and Sara.
Though the location for the new song is not fixed yet but the director shared some memory of the original song which was shot in Bangalore about which David said, that they had found a lot of bhel puri stalls in a place at Bangalore back then and since it is one of the most popular street foods in Mumbai, the song was shot there to show the lead pair exploring the streets of the city.
Apart from Sara and Varun, Paresh Rawal will also be seen in this remake playing Kader Khan’s role from the original. The shooting of the film will begin from August 5 in Bangkok and will release on May 1, 2020.
