Kilmer was 65 and died of pneumonia, as confirmed by his daughter, Mercedes Kilmer, to The New York Times. Val had also been diagnosed with throat cancer earlier but had recovered from it after treatment. This time, pneumonia took him away from us.
Val Kilmer worked in a variety of films, including Tombstone (1993), True Romance (1993), and Heat (1995). The Hollywood star gained more popularity when he portrayed Batman in Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever (1995) and then appeared in The Ghost and the Darkness (1996), The Saint (1997), The Prince of Egypt (1998), Alexander (2004), Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005), and The Snowman (2017).
