Urvashi Rautela team statement:

Actress Urvashi Rautela recently claimed that she has a temple named after her near the Badrinath Temple. This occurred during an interaction with Siddharth Kannan when the Daaku Maharaaj actress said that people visit the Urvashi Temple to seek her blessings and that she wants a temple in the South too, since she is working in South Indian industries as well.

Urvashi Rautela trolled for Temple remarks:

After the statement went viral on the internet, netizens began trolling her. Reacting to all the trolls, Urvashi's team has now stated that people have misunderstood her statement and are likely to take legal action. The actress's team provided an official statement to the media saying that the actress was referring to the name of the temple, not her own temple.

The official statement from Urvashi Rautela's team reads, "Urvashi Rautela said that there is a temple in my name in Uttarakhand, not Urvashi Rautela’s temple. Now, people don’t even listen to things properly; just hearing ‘Urvashi’ or ‘temple,’ they assumed that people worship Urvashi Rautela. Listen to this video properly and then speak."

A former member of the religious committee of Badrinath Dham, Mr. Bhuwan Chandra Uniyal, and a local priest have already confirmed that the Urvashi Temple belongs to Goddess Urvashi and not the actress. "The temple is part of our sacred traditions and is counted among the 108 Shaktipeeths. It is not her temple. Such statements are unacceptable, and the government should take strict action against anyone making such claims," Uniyal told India Today.
