publive-imageAkshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi's upcoming movie "OMG 2" has landed in religious and legal trouble. The priests of Ujjain's Mahakaleshwar Temple have slammed the makers of OMG 2 for insulting Lord Shiva and even went on to send a legal notice to the film's team.

In the OMG 2 trailer, Lord Shiva, aka Akshay Kumar, is shown buying Kachori in the market. The seller asks him for money, while all he can give is his 'blessings'. The priests are unhappy with such a trivialised presentation of Lord Shiva on the big screen. The All India Pujari Mahasangh has asked the makers to remove these scenes.

The Mahakal Temple priests have jointly sent legal notices to OMG 2's director Amit Rai, producers Vipul Shah and Chandraprakash Dwivedi, and lead actor Akshay Kumar. They have also sent a legal notice to Censor Board Chairman Prasoon Kumar Joshi for allowing these scenes in the movie trailer.
