Vikram Bhatt's latest film, Tumko Meri Kasam, is off to a disastrous start at the box office. There was no significant competition for the film from new releases, except for another dull release, Pintu Ki Pappi; yet, the film couldn't perform well on day one.

Tumko Meri Kasam featured some well-known faces on the poster, such as Anupam Kher, Adah Sharma, and Ishwak Singh, yet the box office numbers are extremely low. The film collected approximately 16 lakh nett on Friday, with many shows registering zero occupancy. It wouldn't be surprising if the film ends its lifetime business under 5 crore nett.

On the other hand, Ganesh Acharya has delivered another box office disaster for himself.

On the other hand, Pintu Ki Pappi had an embarrassing total on day one, in the same range as Tumko Meri Kasam. The film earned approximately 15 lakh nett on day one and is likely to face the same fate as previous Ganesh Acharya movies. There is little awareness about the film among the public, as the promotions failed significantly; however, this wouldn't have made much difference for this kind of film. In short, it's another bad Friday for the industry, with Chhaava leading in its sixth week and The Diplomat trying to find its place in the second week. The wait for another hit film after Chhaava this year continues...
