The advance sales were suggesting 32-33 crore nett on day one, but the film saw higher footfalls on the ticke window in the morning and noon shows. The film has taken the biggest opening ever on Laxmi Pooja Day as well as the biggest opening of Salman Khan's career.

Tiger 3 has taken a solid opening of around 42 crore nett on Laxmi Pooja Day, which has proven to be one of the worst days for movie collections in the last two decades. That's one of the reasons why big films like Happy New Year, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, and Golmaal Again opened a day after Laxmi Pooja Day. Tiger 3 took that risk and has done well.The film has seen a drop in collections after 5 p.m., and the evening shows are running at low occupancy in many multiplexes up north. However, a strong hold in urban centres, especially Mumbai City and the south, is a good sign for the film.
