The heroes of the new generation are following a very strange pattern. It is difficult to predict what direction their careers will take and when. You never know when one of their films will be a hit and when the other will slip and fall.
Abhay Deol started with Socha Na Tha which was a flop followed by good profit making films like Dev D and Manorama Six Feet Under. He has still to have a sure shot solo hit to his name, but the is still playing his game according to his own rules with the latest One By Two which has still to see judgment passed on it. Neil Nitin Mukesh was seen as a bright ray of hope after his first film, Johnny Gaddaar was a hit, but it has been one long slide down for him after that. In the case of Imran Khan, he was very lucky to have a super hit like Jaane Tu... Yaa Jaane Naa in his very first film, but he has not been able to repeat the same success story except for the film I Hate Luv Storys. Ranbir Kapoor started with a big flop like Saawariya, but he is superstar today. In the race now are young actors like Ranveer Singh, Sushant Singh Rajput, Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, Ayyushmann Khurana and Aditya Roy Kapur. It is a little early to know how far they will reach in the competition among the rising stars.
