But the budgets and fees being what they are, the #SpyUniverse seems to have come up against a wall.” The comment hints that the overall cost of production, combined with star remuneration, made the film a risky proposition.

The film was planned as a major installment in the YRF Spy Universe, which includes blockbusters like Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, and Pathaan.
