The 'Pippa' Teaser Shows An Indo-Pak 1971 War Glimpse In Action Packed Mode

publive-imageThe first teaser for PIPPA, starring Ishaan Khatter, Mrunal Thakur, Priyanshu Painyuli and Soni Razdan has dropped online on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Independence Day. Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, the war drama is produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur and promises an action-packed ride into the famous Indo-Pak war of 1971.

Pippa is based on The Burning Chaffees, written by Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta. The Raja Krishna Menon-directed war tank film brings to life the Indo-Pak war of 1971 that led to the liberation and birth of Bangladesh. Ishaan Khatter will be seen essaying the role of the young brigadier, who played a vital role in fighting the war on the eastern front as a part of the 45th Cavalry tank squadron.publive-imageTalking about unveiling the teaser on the special occasion, director Raja Krishna Menon says, "On our 75th Independence Day, we are very excited to share with all of you a teaser of PIPPA. Kill is ruling at the box office. The film has kept the strong hold going on the weekdays, despite competition from Kalki 2898 AD and rain affecting business in the Mumbai and Maharashtra regions.

Kill clocked in 1.24 crore nett on Wednesday, taking its total over the 10 crore nett mark. The audiences are loving the film and hailing it as the best action film in Indian cinema.
