The popular Warner Bros. movie franchise Harry Potter is in discussion for a reboot for the TV world. This TV reboot is close to cracking a deal with HBO and will serve as an honest adaptation of J.K. Rowling's original tales.

As per a report in Boomerang, Warner Bros. and HBO are close to a deal for a Harry Potter reboot. The talks are about TV and cable worlds both, and at least one of them is sure to get a deal. However, the deal is not yet complete, with company CEO David Zaslav and HBO CEO Casey Bloys talking with Rowling about the series debuting on HBO and being a foundation for Warner Bros.' new Max streaming service.

The Harry Potter series is based on the eponymous novels by J.K. Rowling. The franchise is produced and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures and consists of eight fantasy films that have earned over $7.7 billion at the worldwide box office, proving their immense popularity across the globe.
