Rohit Basfore, an actor who was set to feature in the anticipated third season of the hit web series The Family Man starring Manoj Bajpayee, has been found dead in Assam. Authorities discovered his body near a waterfall in the Darbhanga forest on the evening of Sunday, April 27.

Police have reportedly noted multiple injuries on his body. As investigations continue, Basfore’s family has voiced suspicions of foul play and has reportedly identified a few individuals they believe could be involved. "We received the report around 4 PM and reached the spot by 4.30 pm. The SDRF team later recovered the body around 6.30 pm," said a police official during a media conversation. The police have found no foul play in the matter yet, and the primary inspection suggessts that he fell into the waterfall accidentally.

According to a report by Odisha Bytes, Rohit had returned to Guwahati from Mumbai several months ago. His family mentioned that he left home around 12:30 p.m. to attend a picnic with some friends. However, by that evening, they were unable to reach him. It was one of his friends who eventually informed them of the incident. The family then contacted the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), who helped recover Rohit’s body and transported it to a hospital. More details on the same are awaited.
