Looks like Salman Khan’s much-loved film Tere Naam is finally getting a sequel — but this time, without the late director Satish Kaushik. According to reports, Tere Naam 2 is being planned and may go on floors once Salman gets complete clarity on the project.

The original 2003 film, starring Salman Khan and Bhumika Chawla, became a cult classic over the years for its emotional storyline, powerful music, and Salman’s unforgettable portrayal of Radhe. Before his passing, Satish Kaushik had reportedly shared the idea of a sequel with Salman, who had shown interest. However, after Kaushik’s death, the project was put on hold.

Now, as per a report in Mid-Day, producer Sajid Nadiadwala is in talks to take the sequel forward. A source revealed that while Salman has heard about the film, he has not given his official nod yet. “He needs to see a workable script, budget, and clarity on the rights before committing,” the source said.

Nadiadwala reportedly wants to own the film’s intellectual property to have complete creative freedom. The team aims to bring back the essence of the original while presenting it with a modern touch. There are talks of introducing a new lead pairing, depending on whether Salman reprises his iconic role or plays a different character.

Currently, the script is being developed, and once the legal and financial aspects are finalized, the makers will approach Salman officially and finalize the director. Fans are eagerly waiting to see if Tere Naam 2 will mark Radhe’s emotional return to the big screen.
