Team Aamir Khan on Coolie's Hindi distribution:

Reports recently made rounds suggesting that Aamir Khan had personally called PVR Inox officials to push for a premium release of Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Coolie in North India. Report in Bollywood Hungama even claimed that Aamir insisted on a marketing tie-up with the multiplex chain to support the film’s Hindi release, while clashing with YRF’s highly-anticipated War 2 starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR.

However, Aamir Khan Productions has now come forward to deny these rumours. A spokesperson from the team stated clearly, "Neither Aamir Khan, nor anyone from his team is involved in the distribution of Coolie. Mr. Khan has not made any calls to any exhibitor or distributor. His cameo in the film is purely a gesture of his bond with director Lokesh Kanagaraj and Rajinikanth."

Coolie, which marks the first collaboration between superstar Rajinikanth and director Lokesh Kanagaraj, is expected to be a massive pan-India release. Aamir Khan is said to appear in a special cameo role, which had sparked speculation about deeper involvement in the film's release strategy.

Meanwhile, War 2, a part of the YRF Spy Universe, is scheduled to release on the same date. With a star-studded cast including Hrithik Roshan, NTR Jr., and Kiara Advani, it’s one of the most awaited action films of the year. With the air now cleared, fans can look forward to both films without the noise of rivalry or controversy. Or will there be something closer to release?
