Anupam Kher’s emotional drama Tanvi The Great has turned out to be a major disappointment at the box office. The film has managed to collect only Rs. 1.25 crore nett in its first four days, making it a huge flop.

The day-wise numbers are quite poor – it opened with just Rs. 25 lakhs on Friday, followed by a slight jump on Saturday with Rs. 40 lakhs and Rs. 50 lakhs on Sunday. But the real blow came on Monday, where collections crashed to a mere Rs. 10 lakhs, showing a steep fall and no hold whatsoever.

From the beginning, Tanvi The Great had no buzz around it. The promotions were low-key and the film didn’t manage to generate any pre-release excitement. On top of that, the strong box office run of Saiyaara completely destroyed whatever little chance the film had. The romantic blockbuster has become a storm at the box office, leaving no room for a slow-paced drama like Tanvi The Great.

Word of mouth hasn't helped either. Audience reactions are lukewarm, and the film hasn’t found any major appreciation even among niche viewers. With such low collections and no upward trend, the film is unlikely to touch even the Rs. 2 crore mark in its lifetime run. In short, Tanvi The Great has unfortunately failed to connect with audiences and has joined the list of box office flops in 2025.
