Tannishtha: Road To Global Fame

International acclaim graced her steps, courtesy 'Brick Lane' which earned her a nomination for the famed 'British Independent Film Awards,' alongside the likes of Dame Judi Dench and Anna Hathaway.

Currently, Tannishtha Chatterjee is traversing the path between Indian and international cinema, shuttling between homes in London, Delhi and Mumbai. In a cinematic twist, she enacts a gypsy in her recent release: 'Road, Movie'.

"The director Dev Benegal, however, did not want my character to be region specific," discloses the budding star. "His brief was that my character was the last wanderer on this planet. Abhay Deol too has been quite a wanderer, shuttling between living abroad and being in Mumbai. In that sense, we both connected with 'Road, Movie', because it's been a learning journey for both of us."
