Indian actor, director, producer, and comedian Manobala, who predominantly worked in the Tamil industry, passed away in Chennai. The actor was 69 years old and had liver issues, due to which he went through an angiogram after suffering chest pain.
Manobala started his career in Tamil cinema in the early 1970s and, with Kamal Haasan's reference, became an assistant director with Bharathiraja for his 1979 film Puthiya Vaarpugal.
Manobala acted in over 100 films over the years in multiple roles. His comic timing has remained special for audiences. He has also directed films like Agaya Gangai, December 31, Sirai Paravai, Thendral Sudum, and many others.
