Tabu Nods Assent For 'Shaitan' Nambiar's Multi-Genre 'David'

Life is looking up for Padma Shri recipient Tabu. Er, we're also referring to her international project Life Of Pi, co-starring Irrfan Khan.

The two time National-Award bagging actress – famed for being exceedingly picky over her choice of movies – has consented to star in Bejoy Nambiar's flick David, that will illumine her on screen alongside South star Vikram. Suitably impressed by Shaitan, Nambiar's Hindi debut venture, Tabu's discerning aesthetics were already predisposed towards the director when he showed up with his latest offer.

Although word has it that David is a "gangster comedy," close sources refute such media reports, asserting that it's a "first-of-it's kind- multi-genre-film!" (whatever that prosaic terminology means)

As per insiders, Tabu was totally floored by the script, and her role, in particular, that she describes as being "kick-ass!"

Pity, Tabu's previous effort Toh Baat Pakki didn't exactly fetch pakki returns at the cine-stakes.
