Taapsee Pannu, who shot to fame overnight with Pink, which also starred Amitabh Bachchan, reportedly turned down a role opposite the talented Nawazuddin Siddiqui in casting director Honey Trehan’s directorial debut.
We had reported a couple of days ago that Honey, who has previously assisted Vishal Bhardwaj on films such as Maqbool, Omkara, Kaminey and 7 Khoon Maaf, will direct a crime thriller set in the interiors of India and that Nawazuddin Siddiqui will play the lead in it. Sources claim that when Taapsee was approached for the role, she turned it down as she was not too keen to star opposite Siddiqui for reasons best known to her.
Taapsee will be next seen in Soorma and Mulk.
