Hollywood action star Sylvester Stallone's son Sage, who passed away and was discovered dead in his apartment on July 13 this year, died of a heart attack, claim coroners from Los Angeles.

Though there were speculations earlier that Sage might have died due to a drug overdose, coroners revealed that there was no evidence of drug use in his system at the time of his death. Sage had played the role of Stallone's reel son in Rocky V, in which Sly had reprised his role as underdog boxer Rocky Balboa.

Stallone was recently seen playing the role of mercenary Barney Ross in The Expendables 2, in which he teamed up with other Hollywood action stars Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
