Swara Bhasker, who has given films like Nil Battey Sannata, Anarkali Of Arrah and Veere Di Wedding, attended the day two of CINTAA And 48 Hour Film Project's ActFest, world’s first actors-only festival. Swara had an interactive session with critics at ActFest today.
Talking about her session, Bhasker said, “My session was with critics and I got to know about their perspective. We had a very honest and dynamic conversation, some great questions were asked. We spoke about how films are made, how they are released and how they are watched.”
Talking about the business of cinema,, the actress said, “I personally feel that you should not judge a film’s value by its box-office collection. So many of our most precious, cult and iconic films were box-office disasters and box-office collections have their own economics, there is marketing, release distribution etc. I think everybody should watch films and judge it for themselves and of course, there will be films which will be universally liked and we will always remember them very fondly but that doesn’t mean that films that didn’t do well very necessarily bad films. It’s an art, it's open to interpretation.”
Swara will be next seen in Krishna Sen's biopic, a woman who pretended to be a man and got married to two women.
