Supreme Court Slams Ranveer Allahbadia:

The Supreme Court of India today heard the case involving Ranveer Allahbadia regarding India's Got Latent show. The Bench, consisting of Justice Surya Kant and Justice N. Kotiswar Singh, condemned Allahbadia and the show for exhibiting a perverted mindset and subsequently banned it. The SC also prohibited Ranveer, Samay Raina, and Apoorva Mukhija from traveling abroad.

"You tell us if anyone on earth would appreciate these kinds of words being spoken. You are insulting people, including their parents. We don't want to say there is something very filthy in his mind that has been vomited out through this program," said the Bench to Allahbadia regarding his inappropriate remarks about watching parents' intimacy.

"People want to kill me and hurt my family," says Ranveer Allahbadia

The court further stated that there was a perverted mindset evident in the speeches delivered. "The words you chose will make parents feel ashamed. Daughters and sisters will feel ashamed. Your younger brothers will feel ashamed. The entire society feels ashamed. The kind of words you use reflect the perverted mind and the depravity you and your associates have displayed."

"We have seen the judgment... so you have a license to speak all kinds of vulgarity and to exhibit your depraved mind anytime and anywhere? Is this the standard?" the court questioned.

Justice Kant referenced the Australian show, stating, "We are not sitting in ivory towers. We know he has copied from the Australian program... there are certain societies that issue warnings. There are adult channels that notify viewers that children should not watch this kind of program; they warn even elderly people that the content may not be suitable for them. They maintain all these precautions."
