James Gunn and DC are ready with an all-new Superman movie. The 2025 reboot of the iconic superhero will feature David Corenswet in the lead role of Clark Kent, aka Superman. The official trailer for Superman has dropped. Watch it below:

In James Gunn's new world, Superman is being interviewed and is asked silly questions. Frustrated, Superman screams out of anger, explaining the terrible situations he had to battle to save people's lives, and now those people are questioning him. He faces a lot of scrutiny for his actions and must give explanations. It’s more of a moral dilemma and social scrutiny than his glory, as indicated by the trailer, or perhaps Gunn has reserved the glory for the theatrical experience. The visual effects here seem quite ordinary, and the score could have been better.

We also see Superman fighting multiple villains with different superpowers. The leader doesn’t appear happy with Superman becoming the focal point of the world's discussion, so for him, it’s a battle of ego, while others want to defeat Superman. Will they be able to break him and his dog? Will DC be able to score well with a new superhero movie? We'll soon find out.

Directed by James Gunn, Superman stars David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, and Isabela Merced. The film is scheduled to be released on July 11, 2025.
