Superman India Box Office Update:
James Gunn’s latest superhero flick, Superman, registered a decent jump on Tuesday at the Indian box office, collecting ₹3 crore nett, up from ₹2.75 crore on Monday. The film’s steady performance in metro cities continues to support its weekday hold, helping it cross the ₹30 crore nett mark in just five days.
The superhero film opened with ₹7 crore nett on Friday, followed by ₹9 crore nett on Saturday and ₹8.50 crore nett on Sunday, showing a solid weekend run. As expected, Monday saw a dip to ₹2.75 crore, but the Tuesday bump has revived momentum. With this, the film’s total stands at ₹30.25 crore nett (approx. ₹36.50 crore gross). The film will see a regular drop on Wednesday and Thursday now but can aim for the 35 crore nett mark in the first week.

Superman is performing well in urban centres and premium multiplex chains, while collections in mass belts and single screens remain below average. The film is getting support from the youth and superhero fanbase, especially in cities like Mumbai, Delhi NCR, and Bengaluru. A clean ‘Hit’ verdict might be tough due to the film’s scale and cost, but it could still finish as an Average or Semi-Hit in India if it maintains this steady pace.
With this, Warner Bros. India has now delivered three back-to-back box office successes in 2025 – Final Destination Bloodlines (Hit), F1 The Movie (Super Hit), and now Superman, further strengthening the studio’s position in the Indian market. What's more impressive is that this is another Hollywood release which has beaten the Bollywood films released on the same day. Superman has done much better business than Maalik and Aankhiyon Ki Gustakhiyaan, exactly what F1 The Movie did to Maa.
