Superman Flies Past $400 Million Worldwide Milestone:
James Gunn’s recent reboot of Superman has crossed the $400 million milestone at the global box office, cementing its status as a major success for Warner Bros. and DC Studios. Released on July 11, the film has achieved this feat in just ten days, thanks to good word of mouth and widespread interest in the new DC Universe. Unlike previous films, this wasn't a dark version and that seems to have worked for the film.
The film has earned approximately $235 million in the domestic market (U.S. and Canada), with a good second weekend hold that added over $57 million. This marks one of the strongest performances for a solo Superman film, even outpacing the early runs of Man of Steel.

Internationally, Superman has collected over $170 million, with key contributions coming from the UK, India, Mexico, and Australia. The overseas tally was boosted by a strong $95 million opening weekend and continued to grow with steady weekday numbers.
Together, the film’s worldwide total stands at around $406 million, making it one of the top-performing superhero films of the year so far. Its performance is drawing comparisons to early Marvel blockbusters and suggests strong legs going into its third week.

With a reported production budget of $225 million, the David Corenswet, Nicholas Hoult & Rachel Brosnahan starrer has already crossed its breakeven point. Industry analysts project a final run of $600–700 million globally, which would make it a solid commercial success and a promising foundation for James Gunn’s revamped DC Universe. The success signals a much-needed comeback for DC on the big screen and sets high expectations for upcoming titles. WB Bros. Pictures continue thier winning streak this year with films like Sinners, Final Destination Bloodline, F1 The Movie and now Superman.
