The box office clash between Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 and Akshay Kumar's OMG 2 is coming near to its practical day, ie. 11th August. The advance bookings of both films suggest a one-sided battle as far as the opening numbers are concerned, with, of course, different economics.
Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel's sequel to a record-breaking blockbuster has sold close to 85,000 tickets at National chains like Inox, PVR, and Cinepolis. The single screens and premium single screens have also shown phenomenal advance bookings for Gadar 2. The overall advance ticket sales of Gadar 2 are more than 6 times bigger than OMG 2 for the opening day, while the spot booking will be even better as the film is super hot in the B and C mass belts. The film is set for a minimum 30 crore+ opening from hereon.
Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi's standalone sequel to the superhit OMG (2012) has also seen a decent advance booking till now. However, the numbers are far lower than Gadar 2, which will also get more screens nationwide. OMG 2 sold approx 15,000 tickets in national chains and is targeting 45,000+ ticket sales by the end of Wednesday night.
