Sunny Deol’s much-awaited war drama Border 2 has just dropped a powerful new poster, launched specially on Independence Day 2025. The poster shows Sunny Deol in an intense battlefield moment, holding a massive gun and firing with full force, instantly bringing back memories of his iconic role in the 1997 blockbuster Border.

Along with the poster reveal, the makers have also announced a change in the release date. The film has been preponed by one day and will now hit cinemas on 22nd January 2026 instead of the earlier planned 23rd January. This shift will give fans an earlier chance to witness the action-packed patriotic saga.

Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is being promoted as a spiritual successor to J.P. Dutta’s legendary war film, which captured the bravery and sacrifice of Indian soldiers during the 1971 war. The new installment is expected to carry forward that legacy, blending high-octane action, emotional drama, and inspiring moments of patriotism.

The cast is packed with star power, featuring Sunny Deol alongside Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Medha Rana, and others. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta under the banners of T-Series Films and JP Films.
