It's been over two years since Mimoh Chakraborty, son of veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty, was set to make his acting debut. But both his films, He, The Only One and Jimmy are yet to see the light of day.
But there is good news ahead for the young man. It seems that Mimoh has been signed by Sunil Shetty for his forthcoming film called Loot. The crime comedy is being directed by Rajnish Thakur, a former assistant of Ram Gopal Verma. Loot revolves around a bunch of characters who go to South Africa in search of job opportunities. The film also stars Govinda, Mahesh Manjrekar, Javed Jaffrey, Ravi Kissen, Mika and Shetty himself. Apparently, Shetty even tried to rope in Rakhi Sawant but she is being difficult because of the presence of Mika. According to Mimoh, he had met Shetty during the making of Khel and the latter had promised to sign him up for a movie soon. Besides, Shetty's Loot, the young actor also has a three film contract with AM Rathnam, the first of which will be directed by cinematographer Kabir Lal. Dharmesh Darshan too has signed him up for a project opposite Govinda and Sushmita Sen. So the good days are here again, at last for Mimoh.
