Suniel Shetty calls Hera Pheri a Deshbhakti Film:

To everyone's surprise, Suniel Shetty has described Hera Pheri as a film about Deshbhakti. The actor was present at the trailer launch of his upcoming film when he was asked about doing a patriotic film with Akshay Kumar. In response, he stated that Hera Pheri is a patriotic film, which left everyone pleasantly surprised. Watch the video below:

The journalist asked, "My question to you, sir, is that these days we keep seeing Akshay sir doing films like Deshbhakti continuously. And just now you said, who will buy such films? But still..." Suniel Shetty interrupted, saying, "Akshay is a superstar, but I'm talking about myself. My last film didn't do well. Sir, you're also a superstar. No matter what, tickets don't sell. I think it's important to acknowledge that. People love me a lot, but that doesn't reflect in ticket sales. Sometimes people want to see certain individuals for free; maybe I am that person."

When asked if we might see him and Akshay Kumar together in a patriotic film, Shetty replied, "Hera Pheri. That's a film about Deshbhakti. That can keep the country happy. The problem with today's kids is that they're not mentally fulfilled. Hera Pheri is for you guys so that you can be mentally happy. Everything in our country is extraordinary. It's the best. We make people laugh and feed them. And when you get a partner like Babu Bhai (Paresh Rawal), you don't even have to ask."
