Sullivan Stapleton joins Gangster Squad

Actor Sullivan Stapleton is said to be the latest actor to join the cast of period crime saga Gangster Squad. The Ruben Fleishcer movie also stars Hollywood biggies like Sean Penn, Josh Brolin and Ryan Gosling.

Stapleton will play the role of Ryan Gosling's childhood friend who grows up to be a mob hardman whereas Gosling becomes a cop. The actor also stars in Cinemax's 10-episode series Strike Back, where he plays a Delta Force operative working with an elite British military unit.
