SS Rajamouli’s much-anticipated action-adventure film, tentatively titled SSMB29, is all set for its next big leg of production. After shooting in locations such as Odisha and Hyderabad since the film went on floors last year, the team is now gearing up for a major outdoor schedule in Africa.

The director, along with lead actor Mahesh Babu, will soon travel to Kenya, where an extensive three-week schedule is planned for July. According to sources close to the film, this schedule will include high-octane action sequences set against diverse natural backdrops.

A production insider told Mid-Day, “Rajamouli sir chose the country because it has everything the film needs — savannahs, highlands, and dense forests.” These scenes will be shot across a variety of locations, including Tsavo National Park, Aberdare National Park, and areas on the outskirts of Nairobi.

The action blocks being planned in Kenya are said to be elaborate and visually striking. The production team has hired local stunt experts to choreograph and execute the demanding sequences. “Some sequences involve wildlife interaction, and combat in the jungle. Rajamouli sir has envisioned chase sequences in wildlife corridors, and ancient ruins,” the source added.
With such ambitious plans and exotic locations, SSMB29 is shaping up to be one of Rajamouli’s most adventurous projects yet, promising a blend of intense action, thrilling visuals, and unique landscapes rarely seen in Indian cinema. Are you excited for this?
