SRK and his football gang

Shah Rukh Khan, who plays a hockey coach in Chak De India, is actually a football freak. Not only does the actor follow the sport closely, he also goes to the American School of Bombay ground at the Bandra-Kurla complex every Sunday to indulge in a game or two.

The line-up includes Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani, Chunky Pandey, Dino Morea and his brother Santino among others. Every Sunday from 5pm to 7 pm, SRK and his squad meet up for a grueling session of football. After he has come back from London, SRK has not missed even a single session. What's more, he has even started taking his son, Aryan along with him as he wants him to toughen up. It was Dino who encouraged SRK to join the gang, which used to meet regularly anyway. SRK's live for football goes back to his days in college. The superstar was a University-level football player. Even during the shooting of Chak De, he used to play football with squad of 16 girls.
