Sonam Kapoor Starts Shooting For Film On Neerja Bhanot

Sonam Kapoor, who was last seen playing a con-woman in Dolly Ki Doli, has started shooting for the film on slain air-hostess Neerja Bhanot, who had been killed while trying to save passengers during the 1986 Pan Am hijack crisis.

Taking to Twitter, an excited Sonam wrote, ''Day 1 of #NeerajBhanot thank you @foxstarhindi and @BlingLive for making this possible.. Let the journey begin!'' For those who do not know this, Neerja was a flight attendant for Pan Am, based in Mumbai, India, who was murdered while saving passengers from terrorists on board the hijacked Pan Am Flight 73 on 5 September 1986. Posthumously, she became the youngest recipient of India's highest civilian award for bravery, the Ashok Chakra.

Sonam will also be seen in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, in which she will be starred opposite Salman Khan.
