Sonalli : 'It wasn't all smooth sailing with my female costars?'

Sonalli Sehgal, newbie of Pyaar Ka Punchnama is all gung ho over her debut due to illumine cine screens soon. "I think my film shows a side of women that has never been presented before," she says. " I know every actress says that her film is 'fresh' and 'refreshing' and 'different', but I certainly think Pyaar Ka Punchnama really is."

Regarding the flick's title, Sonalli states, "Earlier, the title had panchnama as it is originally spelt and said, as in Hindi. But I did feel that when the punch was added to Punchnama, that's when it made all the difference and I really liked it then."

Fortunately, unlike most newfinds Sonalli doesn't assert that all was hunky dory and saccharine sweet between her female costars Ishita Sharma and Nushrat Bharucha and her. "I'm not really a very friendly person by temperament," she says. "It takes time for me to open up with people and need time before I can trust someone."

Adds she, "Initially, it wasn't all that smooth sailing between us, especially with Ishita. I felt that she was making mistakes during the dance sequences and was coming in my way… so I kind of got a little upset over it, spoke to her and sorted it out. But after all the months of workshops and rehearsals that we did… I'd say that today all six of us are friends. We chill and hang out together and have a blast!"
