Son of Sardaar 2 Trailer Review:

The trailer of Son of Sardaar 2 has dropped, and it sadly falls short on nearly every front. The 2012 flick, Son of Sardaar, directed by Ashwni Dhir and starring Ajay Devgn, was a masala entertainer that blended action, comedy, drama, and emotion in a crowd-pleasing package. While it wasn’t perfect, the first film had a certain desi charm and energy that connected with audiences.

However, the sequel seems to have lost the very soul that made the original work. Son of Sardaar 2 comes across as an outdated, loud attempt at humor, where the jokes fall embarrassingly flat. The trailer is packed with forced gags, slapstick punches, and awkward expressions that feel more irritating than funny. Instead of evolving with time, the film seems stuck in a formula that has long gone stale. The joke on Pakistani bombing India is worse than anything bad you can expect.

Visually too, the film is underwhelming. The sets look artificial, the action lacks any punch, and the color grading feels straight out of a low-budget comedy skit. Adding to the disappointment are several cringe-worthy moments that not only fail to amuse but actually make you wince. Ajay surely had better comic timing in 2012 flick.

Ajay Devgn returns in the lead, but even his charm seems weighed down by the weak writing. The film also stars Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan, Roshni Walia, Deepak Dobriyal, Sanjay Mishra, Neeru Bajwa, Chunky Panday, Sharath Saxena, Mukul Dev, Vindu Dara Singh and others.
