Sagar Bellary, the director whose Rs 60 lakh film, Bheja Fry did a business of Rs 16 lakhs, is all set to make a sequel. But this time he is co producing the film as well. His earlier producer Sunil Doshi is out and Bellary has formed his own production company called Park Bench Motion Pictures.
The director, who is in the process of signing a three film deal with Sahara, wants to start shooting for the sequel this year. Currently, plans are on to start the film's shooting in June, mainly in locations in the city. The director wants go ahead with the same cast of players, Rajat Kapoor, Vinay Pathak and Ranvir Shorey. Of these Vinay has already confirmed his acceptance. Bellary is just waiting for Ranvir to get back to him. He would also like Kapoor to act in his movie. The director credits Vinay with the success of the original and said that he is willing to pay the actor his price even if it is Rs 1 crore or 2 crore. Claiming that it was justified, Bellary revealed that Vinay had only been paid his conveyance expenses for Bheja Fry. But things will be different this time, the director promises. The film's budget is generous and no one will be expected to work for free.
