Smriti Mandhana Calls Off Wedding with Palash Muchhal:

Indian cricket women’s team vice-captain Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal have officially called off their wedding, bringing an end to weeks of public speculation and uncertainty.

The pair were scheduled to tie the knot on November 23, 2025, in Sangli. However, the ceremony was first postponed after Mandhana’s father reportedly suffered a sudden health emergency. A day later, Palash too was admitted to hospital — reportedly due to extreme stress.

Shortly after, alleged screenshots of chats suggesting Palash had been unfaithful began circulating on social media — though their authenticity remains unverified. Observers noted that Mandhana removed wedding-related posts from her social media in the aftermath, fuelling further speculation. 

Feeling the pressure of swirling rumours and media scrutiny, Mandhana issued a public statement on Instagram confirming the wedding was cancelled. She asked for respect and privacy for both families, saying it’s time to “move forward quietly.” 

She shared:

"Over the past few weeks there has been plenty of speculation around my life and I feel it is important for me to speak out at this time. I am a very private person and I would like to keep it that way but I need to clarify that the wedding is called off.

I would like to close this matter here and implore all of you to do the same. I request you to please respect the privacy of both families at this time and allow us space to process and move on at our own pace.

I believe there is a higher purpose driving us all and for me that has always been representing my country at the highest level. I hope to continue to play and win trophies for India for as long as possible and that is where my focus will forever be.

Thank you for all your support. It’s time to move forward."

Palash Muchhal also broke his silence, denying the cheating rumours, calling them “baseless,” and warning of legal action against those spreading defamatory content.
