Sitaare Zameen Par Box office:
Aamir Khan’s latest release Sitaare Zameen Par opened to a decent response at the box office, collecting approximately ₹10-10.5 crore on its first day. While the film fell slightly short of the ₹11.5 crore opening of Laal Singh Chaddha, early trends suggest that it might perform better over the weekend. This also marks Aamir's lowest opening since Ghajini (2008), the era when Aamir was the ruling the box office like no one else, but things are different post Dangal (2016).

The film released across a wide number of screens and benefited from good word of mouth and special shows held by schools and communities. Despite the moderate start, Sitaare Zameen Par has shown a significant upward trend in collections on its second day, with reports indicating a strong jump in footfalls, especially in urban centres and multiplexes.

Critically, the film has received mixed to good responses, but that hasn’t stopped audiences from turning up, especially families. The emotional and social themes seem to be resonating with a section of the crowd, though the buzz isn’t at the level of some of Khan’s earlier blockbusters.

The coming weekend will play a crucial role in determining the film’s long-term prospects. A solid Saturday and Sunday can boost its momentum significantly, but the real test begins Monday when word-of-mouth and content acceptance will decide whether Sitaare Zameen Par can sustain a steady run or fade out like some of Khan’s previous outings. At the moment, we predict a 45 crore+ opening weekend, which gives the film a start it needed and then it can join the success club with a strong hold on weekdays.
