He may be better known as Salman Khan's brother-in-law today, but Atul Agnihotri caused quit a stir in B'Town when he made his debut in Mahesh Bhatt's 'Sir'. It's a joyous day for the Khan clan as the actor turned director/producer celebrates his 41st birthday!
Though he made an appearance in Pasand Apni Apni as a child artiste, Atul's first film as an adult actor was Mahesh Bhatt's Sir in which he starred alongside Naseeruddin Shah and Pooja Bhatt. After the success of Sir, Atul acted in a number of notable movies such as Aatish, Krantiveer, Veergati, Chachi 420 and Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam.
Atul turned director in 2004 with Dil Ne Jise Apna Kahaa starring Salman Khan, Preity Zinta and Bhumika Chawla in the leading roles. His second directorial venture was the adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's novel, 'One Night At A Call Centre'. Hello had a huge cast including Sohail Khan, Isha Koppikhar, Gul Panag and Sharman Joshi. Atul is currently producing Bodyguard starring Salman Khan and Kareena, which is the Hindi remake of a Malayalam blockbuster by the same name.
Married to Alvira Khan Agnihotri, Atul is the brother-in-law of Salman Khan, Sohail Khan and Arbaaz Khan. He and Alvira have two children, Ayaan and Alizeh.
