The cast and crew of Rohit Shetty's Singham had a puranpoli party recently in their last week of shooting after actors Suchitra Bandekar and Jayant Sawalkar arranged for specially made puranpolis for the crew. Action drama Singham has as many as 15 Marathi actors as the movie is set in the Maharashtra-Goa locality and director Rohit Shetty wanted to have Marathi actors to bring an authentic feel to the film.

With so many actors on the set, a lot of bonding was bound to happen and when everyone on the sets started craving Marathi delicacies, Sawalkar and Bhandekar decided to arrange for the delicacy.

The whole unit was quite excited as puranpoli is one of the most savored Marathi delicacies and soon the set was turned into a venue for a puranpoli party with everyone from the actors to the spot boys digging in the tasty preparation.

Looks like the Singham crew got a chance to experience and capture the true Marathi culture thanks to the authenticity of the locations, actors and food! Singham is slated for a 22nd July release.
